Artist Bio

Diego Puertas was born in Lima, Peru, September 6th, 1975, and at the age of five moved to Venezuela with his family. Diego has been living in the United States since the age of 19. The diverse places where he has lived and his experience adapting to a new culture have had a profound effect on his life and art. He uses different textured mediums and varnishes to create uncommon surfaces and patterns. The nature of the subconscious still plays a major theme in his body of work.
